Not really a hard DNW but something that I don't appreciate much is when a fic ends with the "Do you want to be my girlfriend/boyfriend?" question. Anything less explicit and formal is okay though. Same goes for fluff: established relationship fic where characters are just being sappy to each other or cuddling fluffy animals? Not really my kind of jam. But by this I do not mean that I absolutely don't want any of that in my gift, but just that I'd prefer if it wasn't the main focus of the fic.

Clarification on my adultery DNW and RPF fandoms:
You can chose to deal how your prefer with eventual actual partners of requested characters.
Let's say I'm requesting A/B, but A has a relationship with X. I'm generally okay with ignoring the existence of X, or with acknowledging it and setting the fic in times before/after the relationship, or just letting A/X be and have B pining hopelessly from afar. Or maybe A gets together with X only because they thinks they have no chances with B (whether this is true or not). It's also okay to diverge from the "canon" and shorten/lengthen/move in time A/X's relationship to fit your plot. In general I'm ok with most things as long as you don't make A cheat on X with B for long periods. But for example A cheating on X with B and then shortly after ending things with B (or with X) is okay.

Disclaimer: I have watched up to 8x2 with the exception of ep 7x3. Most of the following prompts have been written over the years so they may focus on older season. But feel free to write about that season you prefer or span among them, I do love how their relationship evolves.

The cases of the series may be good, but the rest sometimes it's so cliché it's ridiculous, I've lost count of how many tropes they've used. But, honestly? I love it all.

One thing of this ship that absolutely fascinates me is the way they have of talking to each other: one second calling the other by surname, the other by the first name, some other times with their role; and constantly switching between formal and informal language, even if I know this one part doesn't translate too well in english, so, in case you want to, for this one I'm also open to fic in french, italian, russian or spanish, all languages which have formal grammatical forms.

Another thing I enjoy is how these two are constantly at each other's throats, and yet they're always there to comfort and support each other. Both their characters tend to have outbursts of anger or frustration and that puts them in contrast but at the same time brings them closer, with Florence a bit more in control: she apologizes right after and is always there to remind Pascal to keep his cool; how does he feel about this?
I'm a sucker for unfulfilled desires, and the sexual tension through out all the series is so strong, I would just love something that concentrates on how they dance around each other, tying to remain professional but evidently struggling to do it, getting on the same page after several seasons but having to give it up.

I'm okay with any setting change AU as long as it somehow keeps the power imbalance, even if it gets switched and doesn't change the age difference.
I do really appreciate the age difference! In the first season I kind of felt that she was much more mature than him, even if the gap slowly seemed to lose relevance as the series went on. I love that she is a mature woman which has already had husband and a kid and which has somehow abandoned her hopes of a successful career, and that he has an obscure, secret past that his tattoos constantly remind everybody of.

And feel free to add other tropes or just expand on the ones they used already, that sharing a room situation was cut disappointingly short... what if they had stayed there one night already before the dude attacked the priest?

Detective Anna^[return]

First of all, some general thoughts:

I think they tied up the first season pretty well, the only thing I';m not convinced of is the role of Alice. How did she know Yakov's safe house? And was she looking for the file of Mr Brown there? Who sent her? She said to Anna that she'll tell her who she truly is and then got interrupted, and I really feel like there's an untold story there. Is she even really the same girl that was locked in a cell for years? Or is she someone else who took her place.
As for the second season... I'd rather pretend that the "One month later" scene at the end of episode 40 doesn't exist. My reason for that is that I liked Doctor Skryabin. I simply refuse to let them ruin his character like that! And Polina being Krutin made total sense. Yes, of course there's the open issue of the box buried in the snow, but I think they could have solved it in some other way.

Ivan Skryabin

So, yeah, let's ignore the part where they tried to turn him into the bad guy. I really like his character and I'd like to think that, while a bit grumpy and apparently detached, his actions were actually genuine. I would love to read a charterer study on him, you could explore how he feels settling in Zadonsk and slowly discovering the weird things that constantly happen in the town. Or you could explore either his past or his future: what shaped his character? What made him leave Saint Petersburg? He leaves the capital and then after only a short period in Zadonsk he's on the move again: is he running from something (either real of just a ghost of the past)? I would also love to read about his work in Turkestan.

I can definitely ship him with Anna, in fact I think he won me over the moment he broke into Anna's room and started screaming things at her. He kept a detached facade but it was obvious that he was doing it for her, that he knew she would react and get herself together. Which means that he cared. He cared enough to go all the way to her house and put up that scene. And then he cared enough to offer to tie himself to her forever to grant her freedom from her father. I really would have liked for them to go to Turkestan together. Fake/pretend relationship is one of my fave tropes.

Nina Nezhinskaya

About the very last scene of ep40s2, we can pretend she's actually dead, though I honestly don't mind her having faked it, even if I can't phantom how she did it. Maybe Yakov helped her somehow? I understand that it was the only way for her to avoid the prison, but it was also a way to free Yakov of his marriage and at the same time granting a future to her son. So it was convenient for both of them.... And in that case, if Yakov helped her fake it, would he tell Anna?
I think Nina's character is quite well rounded: in the beginning she seems rather flat, and I can't deny that I didn't like her at all, but how can I not like her when I see her desperation, how she's trapped in the grip of the Prince? A position she consciously got herself in to save Yakov. Yes, she's often ruthless and cold blooded, but she has to be like that to survive.
She also told Anna that in Saint Petersburg she was the one helping Yakov, and I would like to see some of her adventures at court and how they fell in love. Was Nina already involved with the Prince or did she tie herself to him to save Yakov from his cards debt?

If you want to dwell on her relationship with Yakov while in Zadonsk I'd prefer if it were in Nina's pov. It must have been really hard for her to see him get closer to Anna and farther from herself, and being unable to do anything about it because of how she's in debt with the Prince.

Anton Korobeynikov

Anton is one of my favourite characters. You can call him naive but I'd call him pure. He's always such a gentleman, and in the first season I often thought that he deserved Anna way more than Yakov did! He never belittled her, never doubted her and her world. And then, in the second season we find out that he proposed to her, and we didn't get to see it!? Outrageous! He deserves the girl!! Can't she see how husband material he is!?

Furthermore, he's extremely loyal; when asked to write a report to incriminate Yakov, he writes one praising and thanking him instead. And when Yakov disappears, he desperately searches for him, you can see how heartbroken he is!
I would love either a romantic or platonic story of the two. On the romantic side, my heart races every time they hug, and I totally lost it when in the episode about the werewolf they make a comment about Yakov smelling his garlic breath, as if they regularly kissed. On the friendship side, I would love some extra angst about how mad at Yakov he is when he reappears out of nowhere at the beginning of season 2. It would also be nice to see how he adjusts to working without Yakov in between the seasons, how he deals with the new power and responsibilities that he inherits along with Yakov's position.

Viktor Mironov

I really, really admired Viktor in the first season, the way he grew Anna up, the way he dealt with his drunkard brother and the way he sticks to his principles when doing his job. And then season two happened and they just had to destroy his character with that stupid affair. So, if you want to ignore the affair with Liza, that's very much ok with me, but you can also address the issue, I would very much like to know what he duck was going on in that head of his!

Diving RPF^[return]

I've been watching diving competitions for ages and I've never seen a chinese girl as open and friendly as Yiwen, the way she and Yani are constantly laughing and hugging with Maddie fills me with joy. I wanna read all about their friendship, how did it start? What shenigans do they get up to? How do they deal with the fact of being competitors? Do they take care of each other when one has a bad day?

In brief, I ship them. So I'd love you if you said screw the canon and make Ren and Gorya end together instead (of course, if you don't want to go the ship way that's okay too).

I don't actually have anything against Thyme, I'm just hopelessly soft for Ren. He's so quite but also observant. He doesn't say anything but you can see in his eyes that he's suffering inside. And I am whipped for his kicked puppy face. I'd totally love a fic on how he struggled in Paris, feeling how he didn't belong while Mira perfectly fitted and didn't really need him anymore. Or about him hopelessly pining for Gorya. Or the two together!
Going back to the ship, I would also love if you went the AU way. You could take the texting and social media part from canon for a nice wrongnumber fic. It would probably work with even just a partial AU. Am I making sense? In any case, AUs about them getting together smh are appreciated.
As are AUs about Gorya being the badass she is and fighting her way through the hardships of life. I would love to see more about her life when she runs to work with her parents in the country (though I don't really care about her pining for Thyme). I really love how headstrong she is!

Please don't think that the length of a fandom section is an index of how interested I am about it, it's not. Some of them are shorter because it's the first time I'm requesting them and I'm lazy, some are longer because I've been requesting them for several years, or they have more characters I'm interested in, I've consumed the canon more. But regardless of that I'm only requesting things that I really really want to read about.

I’m particularly fascinated by the mirrors and how they work, both in reality and in Giovanni's dreams. I'd love more stories involving them!!
The same goes for Beatrice: how were her last days? Or her life before when she was healthy even, did she plan to hide her death well in advance? What was her relationship with the people that hid her body behind the mirror? How did she feel, knowing she was the last of her family, was it a heavy weight, would she have lived her life differently, had there been another descendant?

I'd love a canon divergent au in which she said fuck you to the traditions of her time and grew up a kid with her name.... and what if from that the line of descendants arrived till Giovanni's time? Or a time travelling AU in which Giovanni, instead of breaking the mirrors, uses them to travel to her time?

Avril Lavigne & Collaborators RPF^[return]

I ship this pairing so much and I can’t believe it’s so hard to find any work about them. I love how even they used to joke about the relationship between them, cue the vid (I promise I'll link it if I manage to dig it out of youtube) where Avril holds up a cardboard cutout of herself and tells Evan that he can kiss it. And I love how they kept collaborating during the years, showing how deep their friendship is.

So, in brief, I'm starved and I will love literally anything you write about them, both / and & are ok. A look into how Evan feels about her various marriages would be interesting!

My So-Called Life^[return]

I watched the show for the first time over ten years ago, did my share of rewatches, and hungrily consumed all the fics I could find on FFN or Ao3, but I just can't get enough! If you maybe have doubts about my adultery DNW, just know my view on this: what happened between Rayanne and Jordan... there's not way that was cheating.

I'm ok with mostly anything (just maybe avoid writing the umpteenth version of what happens after Angela gets into Jordan's car), but lately I've been particularly interested into what goes on in Jordan's brain and I would really love to read something from his POV! Even an AU would be great, there's not nearly enough of them in this fandom! And if you need some ideas, here's a couple of prompts:

-Pre-canon of the first time Angela saw Jordan and fell for him.

-What goes on in Jordan's brain when he first speaks with Angela at that party and later when he sees her getting in the police's car.

-Some Jordan-Shane-Tino time.

-Fic about Jordan's background and family. All we know is that his father used to beat him up. But what else? What about his mum? And how did he get his car? Or a Life Unexpected fusion fic, where Jordan's learning issues come from a concussion he got in some domestic environment

-Patty's thoughts and impressions on Jordan.

I'm really fascinated by his character and interested in the reasoning behind his actions. I have the scene of his shooting mid-hair imprinted in my eyelids. It's just such a cool moment.
And I have so many questions about it! Even trying to consider how people related to death in that period... did Alex think about ending like that? Did he imagine his death in some other, heroic (not that that one isn't!) way? And why did he decide to do it, why not try to escape too, maybe jumping from the other side of the boat? Did he deem his life less worthy of Matvey and Alisa's? Or maybe was he just disillusioned by the world? Did his gang mourn him? It would also be interesting to see a canon divergent au in which he somehow survives: what would become of him, and how would he fit in the events of the early XX century?
I'd also like to know more about his background: how did he end up living like that?

I quite like Jan and think he’s a good guy deep down. Of course for half of the episodes we’re led to think he’s responsible for Anna’s death, and so the little details showing how he truly loved her are hard to see. But they’re there, and I really wish to see more of what they had together. He seems quite down to earth, while Anna was in a phase in which following her dream was the most important thing. I wonder if maybe she could have convinced him to go to NY with her, or if he could have convinced her to abort but to remain with him. Would they get a kid later on? Would they make it in NY or would they have to come back to Belgium with no success? Could Anna convert him into a dreamer too, or maybe they would meet in the middle, make it work.

Los Espejos Venecianos

I’m particularly fascinated by the mirrors and how they work, both in reality and in Giovanni’s dreams. I’d love more stories involving them!!
The same goes for Beatrice: how were her last days? Or her life before when she was healthy even, did she plan to hide her death well in advance? What was her relationship with the people that hid her body behind the mirror? How did she feel, knowing she was the last of her family, was it a heavy weight, would she have lived her life differently, had there been another descendant?

Avril Lavigne RPF

I ship this pairing so much and I can’t believe it’s so hard to find any work about them. I love how even they used to joke about the relationship between them, cue the vid where Avril holds up a cardboard cutout of herself and tells Evan that he can kiss it. And I love how they kept collaborating during the years, showing how deep their friendship is.

So, in brief, I’m starved and I will love literally anything you write about them, both / and & are ok even. A look into how Evan feels about her various marriages would be interesting!

Detective Anna

First of all, some general thoughts:

I think they tied up the first series pretty well, the only thing I’m not convinced of is the role of Alice. How did she know Yakov’s safe house? And was she looking for the file of Mr Brown there? Who sent her? She said to Anna that she’ll tell her who she truly is and then got interrupted, and I really feel like there’s an untold story there. Is she even really the same girl that was locked in a cell for years? Or is she someone else who took her place.
As for the second series… I’d rather pretend that the “One month later” scene at the end of episode 40 doesn’t exist. My reason for that is that I liked Doctor Scryabin. I simply refuse to let them ruin his character like that! And Polina being Krutin made total sense. Yes, of course there’s the open issue of the box buried in the snow, but I think they should have solved it in some other way.

About Nina’s death… We can pretend she's actually dead, though I honestly don’t mind her having faked it, even if I can’t phantom how she did it. Maybe Yakov helped her somehow? I understand that it was the only way for her to avoid the prison, but it was also a way to free Yakov of his marriage and at the same time granting a future to her son. So it was convenient for both of them… And in that case, if Yakov helped her fake it, would he tell Anna?
I think Nina’s character is quite well rounded: in the beginning she seems rather flat, and I can’t deny that I didn’t like her at all, but how can I not like her when I see her desperation, how she’s trapped in the grip of the Prince? A position she consciously got herself in to save Yakov. Yes, she’s often ruthless and cold blooded, but she has to be like that to survive.
She also told Anna that in Saint Petersburg she was the one helping Yakov, and I would like to see some of her adventures at court and how they fell in love. And also how Yakov lost at that fatal game of cards. Why was he even playing? Was it just a game or was there something else behind it, was it part of a case? Was Nina already involved with the Prince?
So that's what I'm interested in about Nina/Yakov.
If you want to dwell on their relationship while in Zatonsk I'd prefer if it were in Nina's pov. It must have been really hard for her to see him get closer to Anna and farther from her, and being unable to do anything about it because of how she's in debt with the Prince.

For Anna/Ivan, as I said, I really like him: he won me over the moment he broke into Anna's room and started screaming things at her. He kept a detached facade but it was obvious that he was doing it for her, that he knew she would react and get herself together. Which means that he cared. He cared enough to go all the way to her house and put up that scene. And then he cared enough to offer to tie himself to her forever to grant her freedom from her father. I really would have liked for them to go to Turkestan together. Fake/pretend relationship is one of my fave tropes.

About Anna/Polina: I know that Polina is Krutin, but listen, she's hot and Anna is hot, just imagine what a power couple they'd make!

Victor & Pyotr: I really love their dynamics, how Victor is always ready to rescue his brother from the trouble he gets himself into. Their personalities are extremely different but their blood tie is stronger than that.

Anton is one of my favourite characters. You can call him naive but I’d call him pure. He’s always such a gentleman, and in the first season I often thought that he deserved Anna way more than Yakov did! He never belittled her, never doubted her and her world. And then, in the second season we find out that he proposed to her, and we didn't get to see it!? Outrageous! He deserves the girl!! Can’t she see how husband material he is!?

Furthermore, he’s extremely loyal; when asked to write a report to incriminate Yakov, he writes one praising and thanking him instead. And when Yakov disappears, he desperately searches for him, you can see how heartbroken he is!
I would love either a romantic or platonic story of the two. On the romantic side, my heart races every time they hug, and I totally lost it when in the episode about the werewolf they make a comment about Yakov smelling his garlic breath, as if they regularly kissed. On the friendship side, I would love some extra angst about how mad at Yakov he is when he reappears out of nowhere at the beginning of season 2. Yakov always wears a poker face, but how did he feel about it?

But what does this mean for RPF fandoms where I'm requesting ships including characters that are actually in a relationship with someone else?
Let's say I'm requesting A/B, but A has a relationship with X. I'm generally okay with ignoring the existence of X, or with acknowledging it and setting the fic in times before/after the relationship, or just letting A/X be and have B pining hopelessly from afar. Or maybe A gets together with X only because he thinks he has no chances with B (whether this is true or not). It's also okay to diverge from the "canon" and shorten/lengthen/move in time A/X's relationship to fit your plot. In general I'm ok with most things as long as you don't make A cheat on X with B for long periods. But for example A cheating on X with B and then shortly after ending things with B is okay.

About my darkfic DNW: what I don't want is the kind of darkfic where a lot of characters are evil and, more or less subtly, scheming against some other character, voluntarily inflicting them physical and/or psychological pain and often going into the illegal to do so. On the other hand I like the angst that comes from within, self deprecation, self doubt, the conviction of not being enough etch... but also the angst that comes from outside - just not so much when it's purposefully inflicted - the sour taste of a defeat, the sorrow of a broken heart, the mourning of a loss...

Does this mean that I would be disappointed if my gift had an happy ending? Not at all! I would probably love it all the same, I just think that a happy ending is not always necessary. I don't actually have anything against Thyme, I'm just hopelessly soft for Ren. He's so quite but also observant. He doesn't say anything but you can see in his eyes that he's suffering inside. And I am whipped for his kicked puppy face. I'd totally love a fic on how he struggled in Paris, feeling how he didn't belong while Mira perfectly fitted and didn't really need him anymore. Or about him hopelessly pining for Gorya. Or the two together!
Going back to the ship, I would also love if you went the AU way. You could take the texting and social media part from canon for a nice wrongnumber fic. It would probably work with even just a partial AU. Am I making sense? In any case, AUs about them getting together smh are appreciated.
As are AUs about Gorya being the badass she is and fighting her way through the hardships of life. I would love to see more about her life when she runs to work with her parents in the country (though I don't really care about her pining for Thyme). I really love how headstrong she is!

If you're offering this, then I'll assume you know how professional cycling works and how much importance is held by team-work. I fell into this ship during Giro D'Italia 2020, with the way they would talk about each other in the interviews at the end of the day, the way Arnaud randomly hugs Jacopo, the way his face lits up when he's talking about him. Am I the only one seeing it? I hope I'm not, I'd love to read about them, be it romantic or platonic, I'm up for both! A little snippet of their training before the start of Giro or how they interact on the days of rest. There's also space for a little angst if you want to dwell on a less successful day.

I have read this book as a teenager, and reread it many times during those years. It's extremely fascinating but it leaves you inevitably unsatisfied. I need more.

I need more Justine/Los moments.

What if they keep in touch via emails? What if with the advancing of technology they end up video chatting?

Will Justine be her reckless self and follow him in another time? How will she deal with the different views they have about love relationships?
Or what if Los completely cuts ties with Justine but never forgets about her, bringing her in his heart in all his time travels? Will he go in, say 2097, and look for Justine's niece? Niece of which Chuck could be the grandpa...

I can appreciate a post canon in which Justine and Chuck get together, even if what she experienced changed her forever.

Or I can totally see a post canon where she's still all over Los and has some misadventures going after him, and Chuck is always there to help her clean up the mess she makes or save her from something and eventually - eventually - she sees what she's go in front of her.

I would also love some Chuck&Los bonding over having to fix all the crazy things Justine does.

Honestly, there's so much material revolving around time jumps and ethics!

Ski Jumping RPF

I have a really soft spot for Daniel and almost as much for Ryoyu. Do I ship them together? Absolutely. But I also love some disastrous Tandlinger or a cliché roommates Naoki/Ryoyu - I mean, they are roommates!!

A good idea about that last ship came to me some time ago when Nao posted a story pic with Tatsunao: Naoki involuntarily messing up with the Kobayashi family. Something like he's crushing on Roy and spending time with Tatsu, who listens to his love ramblings; Roy misunderstands and gets jealous. Extra kudos for bringing into the picture Yuka and Junshiro too!

But really, I'll take anything! Naoki is the purest ray of sunshine ever, always smiling and taking time to make the others smile around him too (do we need to talk about that one time in june when he did a joined insta live just because he had an hunch Roy was feeling lonely and wanted to cheer him up? That was absolutely golden).

Ryoyu is just the coolest king and Daniel too is an absolute sunshine, and I'm so amazed by his determination! I'd love some hurt/comfort set after his terrible fall this spring.

Also I am very emo about Andy finally being back in a good shape after all the struggles that he had last season.

I just love ski jumping a lot and love even more their friendship and their shenanigans... and the friendly atmosphere of this sport in general, so if you prefer genfic that is fine too, I'm just really starved for this fandom! Also feel free to add other jumpers if you want, there's space for everyone in my heart!

Disclaimer: I have not watched the last season of this show yet, tho I fully intend to, so my prompts may not totally alight with the events of it But feel free to write about that season if you want, I definitely plan on watching it before the end of the year!

The cases of the series may be good, but the rest sometimes it's so cliché it's ridiculous, I've lost count of how many tropes they've used. But, honestly? I love it all.

One thing of this ship that absolutely fascinates me is the way they have of talking to each other: one second calling the other by surname, the other by the first name, some other times with their role; and constantly switching between formal and informal language, even if I know this one part doesn't translate too well in english, so, in case you want to, for this one I'm also open to fic in french, italian or spanish, all languages which have formal grammatical forms.

Another thing I enjoy is how these two are constantly at each other's throats, and yet they're always there to comfort and support each other. Both their characters tend to have outbursts of anger or frustration and that puts them in contrast but at the same time brings them closer, with Florence a bit more in control: she apologizes right after and is always there to remind Pascal to keep his cool; how does he feel about this?
I'm a sucker for unfulfilled desires, and the sexual tension through out all the series is so strong, I would just love something that concentrates on how they dance around each other, tying to remain professional but evidently struggling to do it. Are they having ethic dilemmas over it? In season four we see how both of them sort of try to get distracted with someone else, both attempts failing....

I'm okay with any setting change AU as long as it somehow keeps the power imbalance, even if it gets switched.
Also, let's not forget the age difference! In the first season I kind of felt that she was much more mature than him, even if the gap slowly seemed to lose relevance as the series went on. I love that she is a mature woman which has already had husband and a kid and which has somehow abandoned her hopes of a successful career, and that he has an obscure, secret past that his tattoos constantly remind everybody of.

And feel free to add other tropes or just expand on the ones they used already, that sharing a room situation was cut disappointingly short... what if they had stayed there one night already before the dude attacked the priest?

I got extremely excited as soon as I found out about this exchange: letters fascinate me in so many ways.
I love long, deep messages sent on messaging apps in comparison with the usual brief and fast chatting more common these days, as I love long and sparse exchanges of email. Internet made communication really fast, but I think there's more to it, I think that taking a little bit of time to order our thoughts down before expressing them can give them a whole new depth. I also love traditional letters, the way this kind of correspondence is forcefully slow, but also the physical aspect of it, the charm of picking a specific letter paper that would reflect the content, and also the ink. And then there's one more thing, that's generally included in "slow mail", but that has its own peculiar features: postcards. Postcards are slow mail indeed, but they are also so different from letters: while the content of letter is concealed by an envelope, protected from outer eyes, postcards are open, visible for everyone to see and read, and they are bound to be shorter, there's only so much you can cram in the little cardboard, there's no space for extra ramblings. A postcard is a little "I'm thinking of you", correlated with a few other sentences who are entrusted to say all that is left unspoken, only aided, sometimes, by the eventual meaningfulness of the picture on the other side of the card.

But there's also another thing peculiar to letters and the likes: they have the power to rely a message even when the sender can't possibly do it himself, they can carry their message through time and space. I find this to be an incredible power. I can write a message, and then leave it somewhere, and it will be read in a different time, no matter what happened to me, I may even be dead, but my words, a part of my mind, will reach the receiver. Isn't this amazing?

I may have less to say about them, but I certainly won't mind a social media fic, a journal or a book/article format... a book about someone/your relationship with them is something that I find extremely fascinating.

I know the name of this exchange is not binding, and that the letters may be sent as well, but I particularly like the idea of them being unsent. To me, there's something particularly sweet in the unsaid, and in all the reason that there may be to it. This maybe be influenced also by the fact that I am an absolute sucker for unfulfilled love and doomed relationships; characters going their separate ways but still never forgetting of each other is my kind of thing.

Age of innocence

This novel has exactly the kind of thing I was mentioning above, and I would love to see your take on the things Archer would want to say to Ellen, but never daring too, maybe not even daring to put it down on actual paper, but only composing an imaginary letter in his head; it would be nice to see this set among the scenes of the first part of the book - e.g. all the things he planned to tell her when he goes to pick her up at the station - or even in the span of time between that part and the ending.

If you prefer to dwell on the relationship between May and Ellen I would love to see that as well, as I would love a piece showing us what actually goes on in that pretty head of May.

Why R U?

One thing that I love is Saint's ease in talking, so if you need a prompt I would like to see a scenario in which, for some reason, he feels the need to talk less to Zee and to try to restrain himself he ends up writing (or just imagining it in his head) to Zee.
Also, I've recently fell in love with texting fics so if you wanna go for a stragers to lover AU with that format (description in between is appreciated) I might just have to build you a statue!

I think this canon has great basis for both sent and unsent letters, or even books. Sent letters could be the papers Dega slip into the bottles of Papi's sack: what did he write in there? Did Papi ever get to read them or maybe for some accident they were lost before he could do so? Unsent may be what Dega wished to say to Papi after he left: how much must he think of his friend once he's left alone on Devil's island! Maybe he could write a diary and fill it with thoughts of Papi, or maybe he would entrust his thoughts to the ocean...
And then there's Papi's side: once he left, once he jumped, he has no way of ever getting back in touch with Dega, we can see the sorrowful consciousness of this in his eyes on the cliff scene, so maybe he could seek some relief in writing his thoughts down on paper... or even in a whole book... after all, this movie does come from a book (which I've read and I'm familiar with btw).
